Job Title: Consultant in Critical Care Medicine

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant in Critical Care Medicine to join our dynamic team at East Suffolk and North Essex NHS Foundation Trust.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, leading a team of healthcare professionals, and contributing to the development of clinical guidelines and care pathways.

As a Consultant in Critical Care Medicine, you will work closely with our multidisciplinary team to deliver exceptional patient outcomes, participate in clinical audits, and provide educational and clinical support to junior medical colleagues.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Provide Consultant-led care to patients on the Critical Care Unit.
  2. Develop and maintain good working practices, ensuring high standards of care and patient safety.
  3. Collaborate with colleagues to develop care pathways and clinical guidelines.
  4. Offer educational and clinical support to junior medical colleagues and other members of the multidisciplinary team.
  5. Participate in clinical incident reporting and contribute to the development of quality improvement initiatives.
