Job Overview

Babergh and Mid Suffolk District Councils are seeking a Programme Delivery Surveyor to enhance our Investment and Compliance Team. Role Responsibilities:

As a Programme Delivery Surveyor, you will report directly to the Programme Manager and will be responsible for executing capital investment and revenue work initiatives, including sustainability projects, across Babergh and Mid Suffolk's housing and corporate assets.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting the Programme Manager in developing capital and revenue investment plans, particularly focusing on sustainability initiatives.
  • Leading the operational execution of capital and revenue investment projects from inception through to final account, with an emphasis on sustainability.
  • Overseeing the Resident Liaison and Project Officer to ensure effective project management and serve as the primary contact for customers regarding scheduled works.
  • Managing the Programme Auditor to guarantee timely mobilization of all tasks, ensuring compliance with contract and budget stipulations.
  • Collaborating with consultants and contractors to ensure timely and budget-compliant delivery of sustainability retrofit projects, adhering to PAS2035 and other relevant quality standards.
  • Preparing detailed work specifications and Auto-Cad drawings for contractor distribution, including necessary tender documentation.

Qualifications and Skills Required:

  • Experience in delivering major works programmes within social housing or a related sector.
  • Proficient in budget management and addressing financial discrepancies.
  • Ability to produce comprehensive schedules of work.
  • Experience in managing building contracts from initiation to final account.
  • Expertise in delivering sustainability retrofit programmes.
  • Skilled in working collaboratively with residents to provide high-quality services.
  • Experience in managing multiple contracts and fostering long-term relationships, ideally within a contract management framework.
  • Assisting in the procurement and mobilization of contracts.
  • Experience in leading a small dedicated team to deliver customer-focused services.

You should possess a solid understanding of contract law, health and safety regulations, and statutory, regulatory, and best practice requirements.
