Position Overview

We are pleased to announce an opportunity to become a part of our finance department as a Capital Management Accountant, directly reporting to the Financial/Capital Management Controller.

We seek a fully or partially qualified accountant who possesses a solid grasp of cash flow and capital management reporting. The ideal candidate will demonstrate excellent communication skills, capable of articulating complex matters in a clear and concise manner. This role has been newly established, and the successful applicant will collaborate closely with team members to enhance and automate reporting processes, thereby improving forecast precision.

This pivotal finance position entails the forecasting, analysis, and reporting of capital management, an increasingly significant focus within our organization. Ideally, the candidate will have prior experience in capital management reporting, strong communication abilities, and the capacity to foster relationships with stakeholders across various departments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Generate monthly capital management and cash flow analyses and reports, contributing to the monthly reporting cycle with insightful commentary.
  • Conduct cash flow and capital management forecasts for the monthly full-year re-forecast and budget.
  • Drive enhancements to the cash flow model for budgeting, forecasting, and reporting purposes.
  • Assist colleagues within the broader team by providing guidance on advanced reporting and modeling techniques.
  • Prepare weekly and monthly credit management reports to support the Order to Cash Delivery Lead.
  • Collaborate with the Order to Cash Delivery Lead to enhance the accuracy of debt and collections forecasting and to streamline reporting processes.
  • Engage with other finance teams and business units to refine payment forecasting accuracy.
  • Identify opportunities for cash flow improvements through detailed analysis of cash variances and trends.
  • Ensure timely escalation of issues to your line manager as necessary.
  • Publish financial results in the relevant finance systems.
  • Analyze and resolve ad-hoc challenges utilizing business and systems knowledge.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Part-qualified or fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA).
  • Strong understanding of cash flow and capital management reporting and processes.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Balance Sheets and their drivers.
  • Able to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines while maintaining high-quality work and supporting the team as needed.
  • Proficient in building relationships with stakeholders both within and outside the organization.
  • Effective presentation skills.

  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey complex technical issues clearly and succinctly, fostering strong relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel is essential, with familiarity in TM1 or similar systems for self-service capabilities.
