**Job Summary**

MacKenzie King is seeking a highly skilled Financial Accounting and Compliance Manager to join our team. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for ensuring effective compliance throughout the organization.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • **Line Management**: Lead a team of two managers, who in turn, oversee teams of staff. You will be accountable for the staff and accounting output, as well as coaching and supporting team members as needed.
  • **Process Implementation**: Implement best practice processes and checks to ensure accurate and up-to-date financial information.
  • **Internal Audit Management**: Manage the relationship with internal auditors, including coordinating the annual audit program and ensuring a smooth delivery of audit services.
  • **Statutory Audit and Financial Reporting**: Play a lead role in the annual statutory audit process and preparation of financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with all accounting regulations and codes of practice.
  • **Capital Program Management**: Oversee the organization's capital program reporting, ensuring sufficient practices are in place to justify capital projects and reviewing capital policies on a timely basis.
  • **Treasury Management**: Manage and monitor cash flow, maximizing the investment of surplus funds.
  • **Project Management**: Take on new projects, in line with changes in regulations, and lead on initiatives to improve financial processes and procedures.

**Requirements**

  • **Professional Qualifications**: A professionally qualified accountant with a proven knowledge of financial reporting and understanding of financial procedures and regulations.
  • **Leadership Skills**: Enjoy managing people and developing and maintaining effective relationships with senior leadership teams and external stakeholders.
