About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Financial and Tax Accountant to join our team at Informa. As a key member of our Tax & Financial Accounting team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and compliance of our financial and tax filings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and submit indirect and direct tax filings, statutory account filings, and treasury back office functions to a high standard and in line with deadlines.
  • Assist with the accounting and reconciliation for share schemes, including the preparation and submission of VAT returns.
  • Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations to a high standard and to deadline.
  • Prepare and review total tax contributions for direct and indirect taxes.
  • Assist with the preparation and submission of corporation tax and withholding tax returns.
  • Complete detailed analysis of general ledger codes for use in the tax returns.
  • Assist with obtaining certificates of residence from tax authorities.
  • Prepare draft statutory accounts with clear and concise working files.
  • Assist with the iXBRL tagging of the statutory accounts.
  • Assist with the daily and monthly treasury back office processes.
  • Assist with monitoring team inboxes and responding to ad-hoc VAT, financial compliance, and withholding tax queries.

Requirements:

  • Good understanding of all Tax & Financial Accounting best practices, people, processes, and technology.
  • Proficient skills in Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Ability to be flexible within the role.
  • Strong academic background, Accounting degree preferable.
  • Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA).
