Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Financial and Tax Accountant to join our team at Informa Connect Limited. As a key member of our Tax & Financial Accounting team, you will be responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely preparation and submission of indirect and direct tax filings, statutory account filings, and treasury back office functions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with the accounting and reconciliation for share schemes, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Prepare and submit VAT returns to a high standard, meeting deadlines and adhering to UK and overseas VAT regulations.
  • Prepare and submit EC Sales lists, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Ensure all relevant queries are followed up in a timely manner, providing excellent customer service and support.
  • Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations to a high standard, meeting deadlines and ensuring accuracy.
  • Prepare annual PSA return, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare and review total tax contributions for direct and indirect taxes, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Assist with the preparation and submission of corporation tax and withholding tax returns, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Complete detailed analysis of general ledger codes for use in tax returns, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Assist with obtaining certificates of residence from tax authorities, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare draft statutory accounts with clear and concise working files, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Assist with the iXBRL tagging of statutory accounts, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Assist with posting, reporting, and any other work associated with dormant and non-trading entities, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Prepare and review National Statistic returns, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Assist with the review of Assistant Accountants' work as required, providing guidance and support.
  • Assist with the daily and monthly treasury back office processes, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Assist with monitoring team inboxes and responding to queries in a timely manner, providing excellent customer service and support.
  • Assist with system testing for VAT rule changes and setting up new VAT registrations across the world, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Assist with the preparation of information for internal and external stakeholders on an ad-hoc basis, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Assist with ad-hoc project work as required, providing support and guidance.
Requirements
  • Strong academic background, Accounting degree preferable.
  • Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA).
