We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Financial Accountant to join our team at Informa Global Support. As a key member of our Tax and Financial Accounting team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of our financial reporting and compliance.
Key Responsibilities- Financial Reporting: Prepare and review draft statutory accounts, both UK and overseas, to a high standard in line with local regulations.
- Compliance: Liaise with third-party providers to provide information, manage expectations, and review statutory accounts to ensure compliance with local regulations.
- System Management: Manage statutory accounts software package and provide training to the team as required.
- Review and Oversight: Oversee and review the iXBRL tagging of Statutory accounts.
- Support Functions: Assist with preparing information for Group, reviewing work associated with dormant & non-trading entities, completing month-end work relating to head office and treasury companies, and assisting with the provision of information for audit queries.
- Balance Sheet Reconciliations: Prepare and review assigned Balance sheet reconciliations.
- Corporate Simplification: Assist with the corporate simplification process.
- Treasury Transactions: Assist with the preparation and review of treasury transactions.
- National Statistic Forms: Oversee and review national statistic forms.
- Team Management: Manage team workload, motivate team members to ensure performance metrics are met, and support Managers within the T&FA team to develop a plan for cross-training, working shadowing, and rotation of responsibilities within the team.
- Qualifications: Qualified accountant (ACA or ACCA preferred).
- Experience: 4 years relevant Tax & Compliance accounting experience.
- Skills: Excellent communication skills at all levels, ability to work in a fast-paced changing environment, problem-solving skills, and ability to work under pressure.
- Knowledge: Knowledge and ability to use relevant internal systems, ability to be self-sufficient as well as working in a team environment, and knowledge of SAP and Oracle systems (preferable).
