The Role: Family Assessment Social Worker

We are seeking experienced and dedicated Social Workers to join our Family Assessment Service. In this role, you will play a crucial part in safeguarding children and supporting families through comprehensive assessments, intervention planning, and collaboration with partner agencies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough Child and Family Assessments to understand the needs of each situation.
  • Develop and implement individualized family plans, ensuring clear goals and strategies for support.
  • Manage complex cases involving a range of social work interventions, including brief intervention and child protection enquiries (S47).
  • Build strong relationships with families, children, and partner agencies to create a collaborative and supportive network.
  • Utilize our established Systemic Practice model, focusing on family strengths and protective factors to promote positive outcomes.

Essential Skills and Qualifications:

  • Qualified Social Worker with registration with Social Work England.
  • Completed your ASYE (Assessed and Supported Year in Employment).
  • Proven experience in conducting Child and Family Assessments and developing intervention plans.
  • Strong analytical and writing skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex information.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a commitment to working collaboratively with diverse individuals and families.
