About the Role:

Elysium Healthcare is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Deputy Ward Manager to join our team at Brighton and Hove Clinic. As a Deputy Ward Manager, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Ward Manager in leading the nursing team in providing high-quality care and support to young people aged 12 up to 18 years with a primary diagnosis of eating disorder.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Ward Manager in leading the nursing team to deliver excellent patient care and outcomes.
  • Provide clinical leadership and expertise to the nursing team, ensuring that high standards are maintained and improved in accordance with the Clinical Governance framework.
  • Empower recovery and deliver supervision to staff across the ward to deliver great healthcare.
  • Co-ordinate the on-call service and manage the ward budgets, ensuring effective use of resources.
  • Lead by example, acting as a role model to all members of the nursing team, leading care teams and creating a positive learning environment that makes a difference and changes lives for the better.

Requirements:

  • A relevant nursing qualification and NMC registration.
  • A positive attitude and be naturally caring and compassionate.
  • A commitment to high-quality care and to values and evidence-based practice.
  • Relevant experience in a similar environment.
  • Proven track record of leadership skills.
