About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Deputy Ward Manager to join our team at Brighton and Hove Clinic. As a Deputy Ward Manager, you will play a key role in supporting the Ward Manager in leading the nursing team in providing high-quality care and support for young people aged 12 up to 18 years with a primary diagnosis of eating disorder.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical leadership and expertise to the nursing team
  • Support the Ward Manager in coordinating the on-call service and managing ward budgets
  • Lead by example, acting as a role model to all members of the nursing team
  • Empower recovery and deliver supervision to staff across the ward
  • Utilize and supervise all nursing staff effectively
  • Maintain a positive and collaborative environment to allow ward members to reach their potential
Requirements
  • A relevant nursing qualification
  • NMC registration
  • A positive attitude and be naturally caring and compassionate
  • A commitment to high-quality care and to values and evidence-based practice
  • Relevant experience in a similar environment
  • Proven track record of leadership skills
