Position Overview

We are in a dynamic phase of growth following a recent management buyout (MBO), and we are seeking a proactive and organized Business Development Executive. This role will primarily focus on business development within the Infrastructure sector, while also allowing for cross-sector collaboration as needed.

The ideal candidate will be energetic, self-driven, and methodical, responsible for tracking and qualifying new business opportunities. You will engage with procurement teams and clients to stay informed about the evolution of proposed projects. Building and nurturing relationships will be key to identifying additional opportunities and communicating these insights to the business team and the Head of Business Development and Marketing.

As you grow in this role, you will have the chance to support the Head of Business Development & Marketing and the broader team in client targeting and marketing initiatives.

We are looking for someone who excels in both communication and organization, capable of maintaining our pipeline system while fostering relationships.

Key Responsibilities
  • Relationship Management: Cultivate and sustain strong connections with clients, procurement teams, and prospects to monitor the status of all proposals.
  • Opportunity Identification: Recognize and communicate potential business opportunities.
  • Team Communication: Keep business teams informed about progress and developments.
  • CRM Oversight: Ensure accurate and current records of all activities within our CRM system.
  • Market Research: Stay updated on the activities of target pipeline companies to gather valuable insights for business development.
  • Administrative Support: Provide assistance with key account management, bid support, and website content updates as needed.

Qualifications

Essential:

  • Experience in a similar capacity.
  • Positive and energetic demeanor with a strong desire for personal and professional growth.
  • Ability to forge and maintain professional relationships with various stakeholders.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including a confident telephone presence.
  • Proactive and efficient in executing tasks and initiatives.
  • Exceptional organizational skills, particularly in managing multiple priorities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
  • Resilience and determination in overcoming challenges.

Desired:

  • Degree-level education or equivalent experience.
  • Background in real estate or experience in energy/infrastructure sectors.
  • Familiarity with CRM systems.
