Role Overview

The Client Engagement Specialist will play a pivotal role in enhancing our innovative engagement initiatives by assisting in the creation of temporary exhibitions and other projects aimed at connecting the public with our scientific endeavors.

This position is ideal for a seasoned professional in the museum or gallery sector who is passionate about fostering public engagement within a prestigious scientific research environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the execution and advancement of the public engagement strategy, collaborating closely with the Engagement Manager to curate an engaging exhibition program.
  • Facilitate the delivery of exhibitions and related projects, working in partnership with scientists and external collaborators, including designers, artists, and contractors.
  • Conduct thorough content research to ensure a comprehensive understanding of current scientific research.
  • Develop visitor-centric content and interpretative materials.
  • Draft audience engagement plans, design specifications, and marketing outlines.
  • Coordinate exhibition steering committees and project team meetings.
  • Oversee the installation and dismantling of exhibitions in collaboration with the Engagement Manager and facilities teams.
  • Manage exhibition-related events, including private viewings and stakeholder tours.

Qualifications

  • Extensive experience in exhibitions and interpretation, ideally with a focus on science or public engagement.
  • Proven ability to collaborate with scientists or academics to develop exhibition content.
  • Experience in crafting exhibition briefs and working with a variety of external consultants and contractors.
  • Exceptional research and interpretation skills, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Proficient in using Microsoft and Adobe software packages.
