  • Any 5 days in 7. Rota basis. Flexibility required for weekends and some early evenings.
Reports To: General Manager / Head of Sales

Role Overview & Responsibilities
  • Meet and exceed monthly sales objectives for functions, memberships, and golf-related services.
  • Mentor, guide, and develop a team of sales professionals to achieve set KPIs and desired outcomes.
  • Optimize revenue potential through effective pricing strategies and strong business insight.
  • Onboard, train, and provide ongoing development and constructive feedback for each sales team member.
  • Successfully convert leads into clients/members through inbound inquiries and proactive outreach initiatives.
  • Champion all sales activities, including prospecting, follow-up communications, and venue tours.
  • Ensure comprehensive understanding and execution of all sales protocols.
  • Enhance the club's presence within social media and the local community.
  • Play a vital role in the club's leadership team, contributing to a positive work environment.
  • Build strong relationships with department heads to fully grasp all facets of sales, from weddings to golf memberships.

The Shropshire operates as a vibrant golf, wedding, and events venue, established in 1992, featuring 27 holes of golf, a 9-hole short course, a 30-bay floodlit Trackman driving range, practice facilities, and a historic farmhouse with marquee event spaces.

Role Summary
This position is ideal for a seasoned Sales Manager capable of driving business growth and generating revenue while maximizing yield through both new and existing channels.

The role encompasses responsibility for boosting revenue across Functions and Events, Golf Memberships, and Golf Day bookings.

The successful candidate will possess a robust understanding of sales methodologies and marketing strategies, with the ability to adapt, coach, and implement effective business processes and sales techniques.

Demonstrated success in achieving results and leading a team is essential. You will oversee a team of sales executives, managing multiple revenue streams and ensuring performance aligns with targets.

Salary: Starting at £32,000
