Cinnamon Care is proud to present a remarkable opportunity at our elegant care facility, offering 64 beds and exceptional care services. We are seeking a dedicated Activities Manager to curate an engaging calendar of events and activities for our residents.

The Senior Activities Manager role encompasses both leadership and hands-on responsibilities. Collaborating closely with the Activities Coordinator, you will oversee and coordinate a thriving activities and volunteer program within the Cinnamon Care environment. This includes managing internal and external communications regarding activity-focused initiatives for our residents, as well as networking within the community to recruit, train, and place volunteers. You will also identify and introduce suitable activities that promote independence and facilitate residents' integration into the local community. Flexibility in your working hours is essential, as you will be required to work on a rota basis, including some weekends.
A full clean driving license is necessary, as you will be responsible for driving the minibus during external outings.

Main Responsibilities

  • Plan and implement activities that foster social, mental, and, when appropriate, physical engagement for residents, aligning with the Cinnamon Activities Programme.
  • Establish and nurture connections within the local community to create partnerships with businesses, organizations, and educational institutions. Build and sustain a volunteer network that includes family members, team staff, and community volunteers.
  • Supervise the activities team, conducting performance reviews and addressing personnel matters effectively, while ensuring a comprehensive rota is maintained.
  • Organize special events such as holiday celebrations, themed entertainment, and community gatherings.
  • Develop a monthly events calendar to be reviewed with the General Manager, utilizing the Cinnamon Activities Calendar Template.
  • Regularly update online platforms to promote activities to the local community and potential residents and their families.
  • Adhere to the allocated activities budget.
  • Assess individual residents' social needs upon their arrival and create personalized activity plans, taking the time to understand each resident's unique preferences to provide meaningful engagement.

Person Specification

  • Proven experience in team management.
  • Level 3 (QCF) in Supporting Activities Provision.
  • Desirable qualifications in NAPA and related training.
  • Expertise in organizing activities that enhance residents' quality of life.
  • Proficient in IT with a strong command of relevant systems.
  • Full clean driving license with the capability to operate the minibus for outings.
