Position Overview

As a Rehabilitation Support Specialist, your role will involve collaborating closely with the inpatient physiotherapy team to facilitate effective recovery for patients following surgical procedures. You will play a crucial part in ensuring patients receive comprehensive rehabilitation and are prepared for a safe transition back to their homes.

Key Responsibilities

In this position, you will:

  • Assist the inpatient physiotherapist in providing rehabilitation support to patients recovering from surgery.
  • Aid the physiotherapy team with administrative duties and inventory management.
  • Participate in delivering rehabilitation services both on the ward and in the gym as required.
  • Ensure accurate documentation and maintain a high standard of service delivery.

Required Skills and Qualifications

As a Rehabilitation Support Specialist, you should possess:

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in verbal and written communication for various interactions.
  • Prior experience in a customer service-oriented role.
  • Competence in using electronic record-keeping systems.
  • A commitment to achieving or holding an NVQ level 2 in Health and Social Care.
