We are pleased to announce a remarkable opportunity for a band Deputy Sister/Charge Nurse to become a vital part of the Horton Renal Unit.
The Horton Renal Unit operates as a nurse-led facility within a prominent healthcare institution. Our inpatient ward is dedicated to providing renal replacement therapy to patients in an outpatient environment during operational hours from early morning until late evening, Monday through Saturday. Our dedicated team caters to outpatients from various local communities.
We seek an individual who is deeply committed to renal nursing and enhancing patient experiences. The ideal candidate will exhibit enthusiasm and professionalism, coupled with a strong work ethic. A commitment to maintaining high standards of patient care and the ability to respond swiftly to dynamic situations are essential.
In our unit, we actively encourage patients to engage in their own care. A passion for delivering exceptional patient care and a clear vision for leading a team with minimal oversight are crucial attributes.
This role demands adaptability and the capacity to respond promptly to shifting priorities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Overseeing staff management tasks, including recruitment, onboarding, training, attendance management, and performance evaluations.
- Administering high-quality dialysis services.
- Evaluating nursing standards to ensure adherence to the NMC Code.
- Collaborating with other dialysis unit leaders within the Oxford Kidney Unit.
- Conducting dialysis quality assurance and Health and Safety assessments, pinpointing areas for enhancement.
To excel in this role, candidates must possess a valid RN qualification and NMC registration. Strong communication, organizational, leadership skills, and some HR experience are also required. Exceptional customer service, communication, and interpersonal abilities are essential, along with flexibility and a readiness to support change.
