Cropredy Surgery is a supportive and dynamic healthcare organization committed to delivering high-quality care to our patients. We are a small, rural General Medical Services (GMS) practice located in the Oxfordshire countryside, serving a population of over 5,000 patients.

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Practice Nurse to join our team to undertake all aspects of Practice Nursing. The successful candidate will work 15 hours per week, with flexibility to increase hours in the future. We are looking for a nurse with skills in chronic respiratory disease management, as we have a high number of patients with these conditions.

Main Responsibilities

  • Deliver safe and high-quality primary care nursing services to our patients.
  • Work collaboratively with our General Practitioners (GPs) and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care.
  • Conduct initial assessments, develop treatment plans, and refer patients to other services as necessary.
  • Administer medications, vaccines, and other treatments as prescribed.
  • Provide health promotion and education to patients, including brief, focused lifestyle advice.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of new services.
  • Mentor and support junior staff members.

Requirements

  • Qualified Registered Nurse with experience in primary care.
  • Postgraduate diploma or degree in Chronic Disease Management (desirable).
  • IT skills and willingness to take appropriate training.
  • Experience of working in a primary care environment (desirable).
  • Experience of chronic disease management and immunization (desirable).
