Key Responsibilities

As a Clinical Nurse Associate, you will be a responsible professional prioritizing patient care, ensuring that nursing services are personalized, secure, and empathetic. Your role will include:

  1. Delivering patient-centered care that promotes health and prevents illness.
  2. Supporting individuals in enhancing and sustaining their mental, physical, and emotional well-being.
  3. Providing compassionate and effective care while continuously monitoring the health status of patients.
  4. Engaging in ongoing assessments and recognizing when referrals to other professionals are necessary.
  5. Communicating effectively with colleagues to ensure seamless care delivery.
  6. Identifying and reporting any potential risks to patient safety or care quality.

Qualifications

Essential:

  • Completion of a two-year Foundation Degree from a Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) accredited institution.
  • Current registration with the NMC as a Nurse Associate.

Desirable:

  • Ability to work independently and demonstrate initiative.
  • Participation in reflective practice and supervision.
  • Understanding of evidence-based practice.
  • Knowledge of basic physiology, vital signs, and nutritional needs.
  • Experience in mentoring or supporting less experienced staff.
  • Evidence of recent professional development or self-directed learning.

Experience

Essential:

  • Experience in general practice, including skills in cervical smear testing and wound care.
