Job Title: Junior People Business Partner

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Junior People Business Partner to join our team at Frasers Group. As a key member of our People Performance team, you will work closely with our Retail teams, specifically with Regional/Area Managers, to support the delivery of our people plans.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain trusted relationships with stakeholders to drive business results and improve colleague engagement.
  • Hold regular reviews with stakeholders to review their people, covering all elements of the colleague experience and identify areas for improvement.
  • Work collaboratively with other teams within the People function, including Recruitment and Learning & Development, to ensure a seamless delivery of our people plans.
  • Complete talent reviews with stakeholders, agree actions, and proactively monitor progress to ensure successful implementation.
  • Develop and implement succession plans for key roles to ensure business continuity and growth.
  • Support the upskilling of managers to enhance their leadership skills and capabilities.
  • Maintain a focus on colleague engagement and well-being, ensuring a positive and inclusive work environment.
  • Support with new store openings and closure processes, ensuring a smooth transition and minimal disruption to business operations.
  • Manage employee relations cases, providing guidance and support to resolve issues promptly and fairly.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a similar generalist HR/People role, with a proven track record of delivering results and improving colleague engagement.
  • Proven experience of managing employee relations cases, including complex cases, with a strong understanding of employment law and best practices.
  • Experience of working within a highly customer-centric or retail environment, with a strong understanding of the business and its operations.
  • Confidence in working with data to inform business decisions and drive improvement.
  • Natural curiosity and ability to solve problems, with a strong analytical mindset and attention to detail.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships and communicate complex ideas simply.
  • Ability to collaborate, persuade, and influence stakeholders at all levels, with a strong understanding of business needs and priorities.
  • Assertive, resilient, and tenacious, with the ability to work well under pressure and overcome setbacks and changing priorities.
