The Continuous Improvement Manager is instrumental in cultivating a mindset of ongoing enhancement within the organization, collaborating with leadership and team members to align with strategic business objectives. This role provides essential support in guiding teams through the implementation of sustainable improvements utilizing lean principles, while also managing significant enhancement projects.

The primary objective of this position is to advance CSL's strategies for Operational Excellence at both the corporate and site levels. The Manager works in close partnership with leadership to ensure that all initiatives are in sync with the overarching Operational Excellence framework, including the deployment of the CSL Operating System (COS).

This position entails leading and executing various improvement initiatives, such as Kaizen events and workshops, with a strong emphasis on developing the capabilities of local leaders to foster future advancements. Building networks with peers across CSL's manufacturing sites to exchange best practices is vital, as is full integration with the Operational Excellence Centre of Expertise to uphold global standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate programs aimed at continuous improvement.
  • Coach and support leaders in meeting business goals.
  • Assist in the implementation of the CSL Operating System and its initiatives across key functions, ensuring compliance with COS plans and performance indicators.
  • Contribute to global Operational Excellence initiatives and promote knowledge sharing across sites.
  • Ensure adherence to Health & Safety and Good Manufacturing Practice regulations.

Required Qualifications:

  • Significant experience in stakeholder management.
  • Strong background in Lean methodologies and/or Six Sigma, with potential certification.
  • Exceptional leadership and communication skills.
  • Proficient in coaching and mentoring.
  • Experienced trainer with a solid foundation in Project Management.
  • Demonstrated expertise in Change Management with a commitment to continuous improvement.
  • Able to challenge existing norms and inspire colleagues to achieve higher performance levels.
  • Familiarity with contemporary manufacturing techniques.
  • Proficient in IT, including Microsoft Office; knowledge of Power BI, Shop Floor Reporting Systems, and MRP systems like SAP is advantageous.
  • A degree in a relevant field is preferred.
  • Fluency in written and spoken English; proficiency in German is a plus.
