The Continuous Improvement Manager is instrumental in cultivating a mindset of ongoing enhancement within the organization, working alongside management and team members to align with corporate objectives. This role offers strategic direction to staff on embedding lasting improvements through lean principles while managing essential enhancement projects.

The primary objective of this position is to support CSL's Continuous Improvement strategies at both the organizational and site levels. The Manager collaborates closely with leadership to ensure consistency with the overarching Continuous Improvement framework, including the implementation of the CSL Operating System (COS).

This position entails spearheading and executing enhancement initiatives such as Kaizen events and workshops, with a strong emphasis on developing the capabilities of local leaders to foster future improvements. Engaging with peers from other CSL manufacturing locations to exchange best practices is also a vital aspect, alongside full integration with the Continuous Improvement Centre of Expertise to uphold global standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Guide and support leaders in reaching business targets.
  • Facilitate the CSL Operating System and its initiatives within critical functions on-site, ensuring compliance with COS plans and performance indicators.
  • Contribute to global Continuous Improvement initiatives and promote cross-site knowledge exchange.
  • Ensure adherence to Health & Safety and Good Manufacturing Practice regulations.

Qualifications:

  • Extensive experience in stakeholder engagement.
  • Strong foundation and potential certification in Lean and/or Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Exceptional leadership and communication skills.
  • Proficient coaching and mentoring capabilities.
  • Experienced trainer with significant Project Management expertise.
  • Demonstrated Change Management proficiency with a commitment to continuous improvement.
  • Ability to challenge norms and inspire colleagues towards elevated performance standards.
  • Familiarity with contemporary manufacturing practices.
  • Proficient in IT applications, including Microsoft Office. Knowledge of Power BI, Shop Floor Reporting Systems, and MRP systems like SAP is advantageous.
  • A university degree in a relevant field is preferred.
  • Fluency in written and spoken English; proficiency in German is a plus.
