Riverside is seeking a highly motivated and experienced HR Operations Specialist to join our growing team. In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our HR functions.

As an HR Operations Specialist, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive administrative support across various HR processes. Your key duties will include:

  • Conducting cyclical and ad hoc analysis and reporting on service delivery, performance standards, and compliance. You will provide recommendations and plans to the People Services Manager and key stakeholders to enhance service quality and address any emerging trends, issues, or development areas.
  • Monitoring and maintaining the integrity and quality of data input, call recording, case management, and document storage. This involves resolving any data quality issues and communicating improvements to ensure compliance with established standards.
  • Planning and monitoring compliance with regulatory and local HR frameworks. You will escalate any risks to service performance and compliance through agreed risk management procedures.
  • Staying abreast of regulatory, legal, and systems knowledge to maintain competence in your role and deliver optimal solutions. You will support, guide, and monitor compliance with these requirements within the HR team and the wider organization.
  • Demonstrating flexibility by adapting to changing work priorities and undertaking additional duties as required to support the effective operation of the service.
  • Ensuring that all information security requirements, including data protection, are met in accordance with the Group's policy, procedures, and statutory requirements.
  • Adhering to health and safety requirements in accordance with the Group's policy, procedures, and statutory requirements.

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • Proven track record of coordinating and delivering transactional HR advice and support within a diverse and unionized organization.
  • Experience in successful resource and activity planning, ideally within a shared service environment working across multiple teams to ensure effective service delivery.
  • Demonstrated ability to interpret and apply HR policy.
  • Excellent leadership, coaching, and feedback skills with evidence of developing multi-skilled operational teams in a high-volume environment.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and a methodical approach to problem-solving.
  • Customer-centric ethos and the ability to quickly understand colleagues' needs.
  • Resilience and tenacity to see tasks through to completion.
  • Initiative and drive to identify 'better ways' of working to improve efficiency.
  • Commercially aware and results-focused with the ability to take ownership of tasks.
  • Strong team player who can work flexibly to meet business requirements.
  • Experience in using HR systems and Microsoft packages.

Desirable Skills and Experience:

  • CIPD qualified or equivalent.
  • Training or coaching qualification.
