Overview

Hays Accountancy & Finance is collaborating with a dynamic and expanding manufacturing organization to recruit a proactive and enthusiastic Finance Business Partner. This role is pivotal in delivering exceptional financial insights that empower operational teams to enhance business performance. This position offers significant exposure to the inner workings of the organization and highlights the importance of robust processes in influencing decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

  • Foster strong relationships with Supply Chain, Operations, and Planning teams to collaboratively achieve financial objectives.
  • Prepare projections for Inventory and Indirect costs to support Forecasting and Budgeting cycles.
  • Oversee month-end processes to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data.
  • Conduct variance analysis comparing Actuals, Prior Year, Budget, and Forecast, including root cause analysis and recommendations for corrective actions.
  • Guide site leadership teams by challenging their decision-making processes and contributing to monthly business reporting.
  • Maintain cost controls and identify areas of risk to minimize potential issues.
  • Play a significant role in management meetings, evaluate make vs buy decisions, and support the Head of Finance in driving process enhancements.

Qualifications

To be successful in this Finance Business Partner position, you should possess:

  • A qualification in ACCA/CIMA/ACA or equivalent experience.
  • Proven experience in a similar role, demonstrating independence and high personal integrity.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively build relationships at all organizational levels.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, ideally with experience in financial modeling or scenario analysis.
  • The ability to influence and challenge decisions within a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience in inventory management and a background in the manufacturing sector is advantageous but not mandatory.

Benefits

This permanent Finance Business Partner role offers a competitive salary ranging from £45,000 to £55,000 per annum, depending on experience. Additional benefits include an annual bonus scheme of up to 16%, flexible working hours, 26 days of holiday plus bank holidays, a contributory pension scheme, on-site parking, and a study package if applicable.
