Overview of the Position

The Senior Finance Business Partner will deliver a finance business partnering service that is commercially driven across UCAS' various business divisions, aiding in the execution of the UCAS strategy.

Primary Responsibilities:

Business Collaboration - ensure that the implications of decisions are comprehended, performance is monitored, and results are evaluated. Shape decisions, influence strategy, and guide the business direction to achieve the mission alongside key operational, commercial, and financial objectives. Assist in the business planning process, including forecasting, financial modeling, and business case development, along with efficiency and reform initiatives to support decision-making. Create, implement, and sustain a product profitability model that is forward-looking, automated, and system-oriented. Collaborate with Product Managers, with assistance from Finance Business Partners, to help them grasp product margins, profitability, and their impact on the strategic direction of our offerings. Participate in partnerships and acquisitions, including financial modeling, integration support, and ongoing reporting. Assess the performance of new partnerships/acquisitions and coordinate with other Finance Business Partners regarding business impacts. Act as a strategic change agent for financial projects: securing buy-in and engagement from a diverse range of stakeholders at all levels.

Required Skills, Qualifications, and Experience

Qualified accountant or equivalent experience with a strong grasp of financial accounting principles and processes. Proven track record of successfully executing several process or systems improvement initiatives. Ideally, experience in a service-oriented business utilizing timesheets and the ability to work collaboratively within a close-knit finance team. Experience in partnerships and acquisitions. Outgoing, persuasive, and confident communicator with internal and external stakeholders at all levels. Comfortable with detailed analysis while also possessing the ability to see the broader picture. Capable of analyzing and reporting at both strategic and operational levels in a concise and agile manner tailored to the audience. Organized and confident in leading projects in a structured manner. The workload is varied and time-sensitive, requiring a detail-oriented individual who can manage multiple tasks while consistently delivering high-quality results. Inquisitive and continuously seeking improvement; able to challenge the status quo and explore innovative and creative solutions to enhance processes. Demonstrated experience in financial performance reporting and planning, with a clear understanding of how to present information and make recommendations. Highly proficient in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

Compensation and Benefits

Salary - up to £60,000
