About the Role

The Senior Finance Business Partner will play a key role in supporting the delivery of UCAS' strategy by providing a commercially focused finance business partnering service across the organization's business units.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner with business leaders to ensure that financial decisions are informed by a deep understanding of the organization's performance and strategic objectives.
  • Develop and maintain financial models and forecasts to support business planning and decision-making.
  • Provide financial analysis and insights to inform business strategy and drive commercial growth.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvements and efficiency gains.
  • Support the development and implementation of financial policies and procedures.
  • Provide guidance and support to business leaders on financial matters, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
  • Identify and mitigate financial risks, and develop strategies to minimize their impact.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including business leaders, finance teams, and external partners.

Requirements:

  • Qualified accountant or equivalent experience with a strong understanding of financial accounting principles and processes.
  • Proven experience in a finance business partnering role, with a track record of delivering commercial value to the organization.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and develop insights.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Experience of financial systems and processes, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
