Head of Global Supply Chain Operations

DSJ Global is proud to represent a leading player in the automotive sector, backed by private equity and poised for significant expansion over the next five years. They are currently seeking a Head of Global Supply Chain Operations to create a centralized supply chain function across all regional divisions and to develop a unified digital framework (ERP, WMS, TMS) throughout the organization.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Formulate and implement supply chain strategies that are in line with the company's overarching goals and market conditions.
  2. Oversee and lead a high-performing supply chain team, offering direction, coaching, and mentorship to ensure peak performance and career growth.
  3. Enhance operational efficiency by driving process improvements, streamlining workflows, and adopting best practices to reduce lead times and costs.
  4. Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including Procurement, Manufacturing, Logistics, and Sales, to refine supply chain processes and ensure cohesive operations.
  5. Establish and nurture strong relationships with key suppliers and partners to guarantee the availability of quality materials, timely deliveries, and competitive pricing.
  6. Track and evaluate supply chain performance metrics to pinpoint areas for enhancement and devise action plans to resolve any challenges.
  7. Stay informed about industry trends, regulations, and emerging technologies to foster innovation and seize opportunities for operational enhancement.
  8. Ensure adherence to all relevant legal, regulatory, and quality standards within the supply chain.
Qualifications:
  1. Experience in managing both manufacturing and distribution-focused operations.
  2. Background in the automotive industry or a related field is advantageous.
  3. Proven experience in leading supply chain organizations through the implementation of new systems.
  4. Comprehensive understanding of supply chain management principles, best practices, and industry developments.
  5. Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with a focus on data-driven decision-making and process optimization.
  6. Exceptional leadership and team management skills, with a history of building and nurturing high-performing teams.
  7. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate and influence stakeholders at various levels.
  8. Proficiency in supply chain software systems, ERP systems, and other relevant tools.
  9. Fluency in English is essential.
