Head of Supply Chain Financial Strategy

MacGregor Black is collaborating with a Global Consumer Products Organization to identify a Head of Supply Chain Financial Strategy. This is a permanent opportunity.

In the role of Head of Supply Chain Financial Strategy, you will oversee the financial operations for our worldwide supply chain, leading a team of regional finance leaders and reporting directly to the Global CFO. Your contributions will be vital in formulating and executing financial strategies aimed at optimizing supply chain performance and facilitating cost transformation. This position offers a unique chance to impact significant financial decisions, enhance operational processes, and support ambitious growth initiatives through strategic insights and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee financial operations for a network of production facilities, ensuring alignment with global financial goals.
  • Formulate and execute financial strategies to improve supply chain efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
  • Manage month-end closing activities, including variance analysis and reporting, ensuring precision and timeliness.
  • Prepare and assess weekly forecasts and performance indicators, ensuring they yield actionable insights.
  • Promote automation and standardization of financial processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Assess and redesign financial workflows to align with industry best practices and implement cost-saving initiatives.
  • Deliver comprehensive financial analysis to support strategic decision-making and operational planning.
  • Develop and maintain robust financial models and projections.
  • Act as a Financial Business Partner to critical business areas including Manufacturing, Procurement, and Transformation, providing financial insights to drive operational success.
  • Lead and mentor a team of regional finance leaders, fostering a collaborative and high-performance environment.
  • Establish clear objectives and KPIs for direct reports, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
  • Serve as a strategic partner to the Global CFO, contributing to the formulation of long-term financial strategies.
  • Identify and address financial and operational challenges with innovative solutions.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related discipline. An advanced degree (e.g., MBA) or professional certification (e.g., CPA, ACCA) is preferred.
  • A minimum of 10 years of financial management experience within a global supply chain or manufacturing context, with a demonstrated track record in leadership roles.
  • Advanced analytical and strategic thinking skills, with a focus on financial process enhancement and cost efficiency.
  • Expertise in financial forecasting, budgeting, and reporting.
  • Proven experience in process automation and standardization.
  • Exceptional leadership and team management capabilities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with senior executives and cross-functional teams.
