Role Overview:
As the Head of Supply Chain for Wendy's UK, you will be responsible for formulating and implementing the supply chain strategy across the UK and EU regions. Your focus will be on ensuring a cost-effective, safe, and consistent supply of food and paper products that align with our brand standards.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Development: Lead the creation and execution of a comprehensive supply chain strategy that optimizes costs and enhances operational efficiency.
  • Team Leadership: Direct the EU Supply Chain Management team, ensuring the establishment of effective global supply chain protocols, including Category Management, Forecasting, Inventory Control, Risk Management, Communication, and Program Management.
  • Supplier Management: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with EU suppliers, negotiating competitive contracts that leverage regional economies of scale.
  • Infrastructure Design: Build a robust supply chain infrastructure with a diverse supplier base to support cost-saving initiatives and improve profitability at the restaurant level.
  • Category Management: Enhance team capabilities in managing core product categories, including developing category profiles, overseeing the RFP process, and implementing cost formulas and contracts.
  • Process Improvement: Refine and advance standard operating procedures for supply chain operations, including new market entry, supplier development, product implementation, and franchise training.
  • Distribution Optimization: Ensure that all distribution systems are cost-efficient while meeting quality and service standards.
  • Technology Development: Innovate technology solutions tailored to the needs of the EU supply chain.
  • Cost Savings Initiatives: Identify and implement strategies for cost reduction across the supply chain.
  • Supplier Performance Evaluation: Conduct thorough evaluations of supplier performance to ensure alignment with company standards.
  • Contract Negotiation: Lead negotiations to secure favorable contract terms with suppliers.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Finance, Engineering, or related fields; a Master's degree is preferred.
  • Over 10 years of experience in international procurement, distribution, and inventory management within a multinational food brand, ideally in the Quick Service Restaurant (QSR) sector.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and negotiation skills, with a proven track record of fostering positive relationships with suppliers, distributors, franchisees, and internal stakeholders.
  • Experience in building inclusive team environments and leading remote teams, with a strong ability to coach and develop team members.
  • Advanced project and process management skills.
