Wendy's UK is seeking a dynamic and experienced Supply Chain Director to lead our operations in the UK and EU. This role will play a pivotal part in ensuring the smooth and efficient delivery of high-quality food and paper products, meeting our brand standards and exceeding customer expectations.

As the Supply Chain Director, you will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive supply chain strategy that optimizes cost, quality, and service. You will lead a team of dedicated professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement a robust supply chain strategy for the UK and EU, encompassing category management, forecasting, inventory control, risk mitigation, communication, and program management.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers across the EU region, negotiating cost-competitive contracts and leveraging economies of scale.
  • Design and develop an efficient supply chain infrastructure, ensuring a network of reliable suppliers capable of meeting our operational needs.
  • Drive initiatives to reduce food costs and enhance restaurant profitability, delivering tangible results in a timely manner.
  • Lead the development and implementation of standardized operating procedures for various supply chain functions, including new market entry, supplier onboarding, product implementation, and franchise supply chain training.
  • Optimize distribution systems to ensure cost-effectiveness, quality assurance, and service excellence.
  • Identify and implement technology solutions to enhance EU supply chain operations.
Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will possess a proven track record of success in international procurement, distribution, importing/exporting, commodity markets, and inventory management within the food service industry.

A Bachelor's degree in business administration, Supply Chain Management, Finance, Engineering, or a related field is required, with a Master's degree preferred.

Exceptional interpersonal and negotiation skills are essential, along with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with diverse stakeholders. Experience in leading and developing high-performing teams is highly valued.
