Financial Planning & Analysis Manager - Competitive Annual Salary

Role Overview

The Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Manager is tasked with supervising and directing the financial functions of the organization, ensuring the precision, integrity, and promptness of financial reporting and analysis.

This position entails the preparation and examination of financial documents, budgets, forecasts, and performance indicators, alongside conducting comprehensive financial assessments to aid strategic decision-making. The FP&A Manager will work in close collaboration with various departments to deliver financial insights, pinpoint trends, and propose actions to enhance financial performance. This role is vital in ensuring adherence to accounting standards, regulatory obligations, and internal policies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee cash flow management, evaluate financial risks, and devise strategies to mitigate these risks.
  • Engage with external auditors, banks, and other financial entities to foster strong working relationships.
  • Prepare and scrutinize financial statements, ensuring the accuracy and completeness of management accounts and other financial documents in line with accounting standards.
  • Collaborate with department heads to develop and monitor budgets and forecasts.
  • Conduct in-depth financial analysis to uncover trends, opportunities, and risks, presenting findings to senior management.
  • Maintain compliance with financial regulations by staying informed about relevant laws and standards.
  • Continuously assess and enhance financial processes, internal controls, and reporting systems to improve efficiency, accuracy, and reliability.

Qualifications:

  • Fully qualified in CIMA / ACCA.
  • Experience working within a Finance Team in a Manufacturing environment.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel.
  • Strong grasp of financial principles, accounting practices, and financial analysis methodologies.
  • Expertise in data analysis, interpretation, and synthesis to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for enhancement.
  • Ability to collaborate and build robust relationships with cross-functional teams, including operations managers, finance professionals, and senior leadership.
  • Strategic thinking capability to align financial objectives and initiatives with the company's overarching strategic goals and long-term vision.
