Financial Planning & Analysis Manager - Competitive Annual Salary

Overview of the Position

The Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Manager will play a pivotal role in steering the financial functions of the organisation, ensuring that financial reporting and analysis are executed with precision, integrity, and timeliness.

This position encompasses the preparation and evaluation of financial statements, budgets, forecasts, and performance indicators, alongside conducting comprehensive financial assessments to facilitate strategic decision-making. The FP&A Manager will work in close collaboration with various departments to deliver financial insights, pinpoint trends, and propose actions aimed at enhancing financial performance. This role is essential in guaranteeing adherence to accounting standards, regulatory obligations, and internal policies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee cash flow management, evaluate financial risks, and devise strategies to mitigate these risks.
  • Engage with external auditors, banks, and other financial entities to cultivate robust working relationships.
  • Prepare and scrutinise financial statements, ensuring the accuracy and completeness of management accounts and other financial documents in line with accounting standards.
  • Collaborate with department heads to develop and monitor budgets and forecasts.
  • Conduct in-depth financial analysis to uncover trends, opportunities, and risks, presenting findings to senior management.
  • Maintain compliance with financial regulations by staying informed about relevant regulations and standards.
  • Continuously assess and enhance financial processes, internal controls, and reporting systems to improve efficiency, accuracy, and reliability.

Qualifications Required:

  • CIMA / ACCA qualification is essential.
  • Experience in a Finance Team within a Manufacturing environment is preferred.
  • Proficient in advanced Excel functionalities.
  • Strong grasp of financial principles, accounting practices, and financial analysis methodologies.
  • Expertise in data analysis, interpretation, and synthesis to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for enhancement.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively and build strong relationships with cross-functional teams, including operations managers, finance professionals, and senior management.
  • Strategic thinking capability to align financial objectives and initiatives with the company's overarching strategic goals and long-term vision.
