Position Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and personable Finance Manager to spearhead a compact finance team. This role will focus on optimizing month-end processes and enhancing financial accuracy. Reporting directly to the Group CFO, you will serve as the senior finance representative on-site, playing a crucial role in the site Senior Leadership Team (SLT) and contributing to the strategic vision of the organization.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Preparation of monthly management accounts
  • Creation and enhancement of the Board Pack to deliver insightful and timely reports to the board
  • Development of product costing methodologies to aid in pricing strategies
  • Conducting margin and variance analyses to inform the strategic direction of the company
  • Actively participating in the site SLT, fostering relationships with various internal stakeholders to demonstrate the value of a collaborative finance team
  • Building and maintaining relationships with key external partners, including suppliers, banks, auditors, and insurance providers
  • Serving as the finance representative during the year-end audit process and coordinating with external parties as necessary
  • Assisting in the formulation of financial strategies and decision-making processes

Candidate Profile

  • Qualified, part-qualified, or QBE candidates are encouraged to apply
  • Experience in a manufacturing setting is preferred, although candidates with relevant transferable skills are welcome
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to cultivate strong relationships across all organizational levels
  • Approachable demeanor with the capability to convey financial concepts to both financial and non-financial audiences
  • Demonstrated understanding of best practices within the finance function of a manufacturing and marketing organization
  • Detail-oriented with a diligent work ethic
  • Proficient in advanced Excel and familiar with ERP and modern IT systems
