Role Overview
The Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Manager is tasked with supervising and directing the financial functions of the organization, ensuring the precision, integrity, and promptness of financial reporting and analytical processes.
This position encompasses the preparation and evaluation of financial statements, budgets, forecasts, and performance indicators, alongside conducting comprehensive financial assessments to aid in strategic decision-making. The FP&A Manager will work in close collaboration with various departments to deliver financial insights, pinpoint trends, and propose measures to enhance financial performance. This role is vital in guaranteeing adherence to accounting standards, regulatory mandates, and internal policies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee cash flow management, evaluate financial risks, and devise strategies to mitigate these risks.
- Engage with external auditors, financial institutions, and banks to foster robust working relationships.
- Prepare and scrutinize financial statements, ensuring the accuracy and completeness of management accounts and other financial documents in line with accounting standards.
- Collaborate with department heads to develop and monitor budgets and forecasts.
- Conduct thorough financial analyses to uncover trends, opportunities, and risks, presenting findings to senior management.
- Maintain compliance with financial regulations by staying informed on relevant standards and regulations.
- Continuously assess and enhance financial processes, internal controls, and reporting systems to improve efficiency, accuracy, and reliability.
Qualifications:
- Fully qualified CIMA / ACCA.
- Experience in a Finance Team within a Manufacturing environment.
- Proficient in advanced Excel functionalities.
- Strong grasp of financial principles, accounting practices, and financial analysis methodologies.
- Expertise in data analysis, interpretation, and synthesis to identify trends, patterns, and areas for improvement.
- Ability to collaborate effectively and build strong relationships with cross-functional teams, including operations managers and finance professionals.
- Strategic thinking capability to align financial objectives with the company’s overarching strategic goals and long-term vision.
