Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of the practice. Your primary duties will include:

  • Managing the daily operations of the practice in collaboration with our management team.
  • Ensuring compliance with NHS regulations, information governance, and quality standards.
  • Facilitating staff training and development in partnership with team leaders.
  • Collaborating with the healthcare team to guarantee the delivery of superior patient care.
  • Monitoring and achieving performance targets, including quality frameworks.
  • Implementing necessary changes to adapt to the evolving healthcare environment.
  • Overseeing recruitment processes and human resources management.
  • Coordinating key meetings and ensuring follow-up on action items.
  • Addressing patient feedback and managing complaints effectively.
  • Leading patient engagement initiatives and participation group meetings.
  • Managing staff schedules and leave requests with support from line management.
  • Ensuring health and safety standards are upheld within the practice.
  • Identifying and optimizing financial opportunities for the practice.
  • Assisting the finance team with payroll preparation and administration.
  • Managing NHS pension administration tasks.

Candidate Profile

Qualifications

Essential

  • GCSEs in English and Maths (or equivalent).

Desirable

  • Additional qualifications in business or management.
  • AMSPAR certification.

Experience

Essential

  • Proven experience in a busy team environment focused on high-quality care delivery.
  • Experience in managing multidisciplinary teams.
  • Background in public-facing roles.
  • Familiarity with performance management processes, including appraisals and staff development.
  • Track record of successfully implementing projects.

Desirable

  • Experience in a healthcare setting.
  • Knowledge of workforce planning and development.
  • Familiarity with general practice operations.
  • Experience in managing complex financial accounts.

Skills
