Spirehouse Recruitment is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate professional to fill the role of Drug & Alcohol Support Worker for a Children & Young People service in Oxfordshire.

The Opportunity

We are looking for an individual who can provide comprehensive interventions to support children and young people aged 8-25 who are struggling with substance use. The successful candidate will be responsible for a caseload of young people and will work to reduce the negative impacts of drugs and alcohol on their education, employment, and overall well-being.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide a trauma-informed approach to assess, care plan, and intervene with young people.
  • Work with young people to reduce negative impacts of drugs and alcohol and improve their education, employment, and overall health.
  • Deliver psychosocial interventions to families and support young people with familial substance use.
  • Work with youth support teams and external agencies to provide a comprehensive support network for young people.
  • Engage with schools, homes, communities, and family centers to provide support and interventions.
Requirements
  • Driving Licence and access to a vehicle.
  • Enhanced DBS (preferably on the update service).
