Role Overview
A Mental Health Youth Worker is required to join the team at Academics, a specialist school dedicated to providing exceptional education and support to students. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting students in regulating and managing their emotions, working closely with the school's staff to ensure a holistic approach to student well-being.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement strategies to support students in managing their emotions and behaviors
- Work collaboratively with teachers and other support staff to ensure a consistent approach to student support
- Provide individual and group support to students, including counseling and coaching
- Contribute to the development of a positive and supportive school culture
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and support
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Experience working with young people in a mental health or support role
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
- Knowledge of child development and mental health principles
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion
