Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to lead and deliver our youth services program. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing advice and support to individual young people, organizing regular youth clubs, sports, and other activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and deliver our youth services program, working closely with other Asylum Welcome staff and services to support young people under and over 18.
- Organize and manage a team of volunteers, providing guidance and support to ensure the success of our youth programs.
- Develop and implement strategies to engage and support young people, including those with lived experience of asylum seeking and refugee status.
- Collaborate with other organizations and stakeholders to ensure our youth services are responsive to the needs of the community.
- Manage and maintain accurate records and reports, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in youth work, with a focus on supporting refugees and asylum seekers.
- Strong understanding of the challenges facing young people in this context, including the law and policy framework.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible approach to work arrangements.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
