Job Opportunity: Spirehouse Recruitment is seeking a skilled professional to fill the role of Drug and Alcohol Support Worker for a Children and Young People service in Oxfordshire.

The Opportunity:

We are looking for a dedicated individual to provide comprehensive interventions and support to children and young people aged 8-25 who are struggling with substance use. The successful candidate will be responsible for a caseload of young people and will work closely with them to develop and implement personalized care plans.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide a trauma-informed approach to assess, care plan, and intervene with young people who are struggling with substance use.
  • Work with young people to reduce the negative impacts of drugs and alcohol on their education, employment, and overall health.
  • Deliver psychosocial interventions to families and support young people with familial substance use.
  • Collaborate with youth support teams and external agencies to provide a comprehensive support network for young people.
  • Engage with schools, homes, communities, and family centers to provide support and guidance to young people.

Requirements:

  • Driving license and access to a vehicle.
  • Enhanced DBS (preferably on the update service).
