The Role: Business Development Manager - New Customer Acquisition

We are seeking a driven and results-oriented Business Development Manager to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in identifying, developing, and securing new business opportunities within your designated territory/sector.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough research and prospecting activities to identify potential new customers within the foodservice industry.
  • Build strong relationships with key decision-makers at target businesses, understanding their needs and requirements.
  • Develop compelling and tailored proposals that showcase Brakes' value proposition and address specific customer challenges.
  • Collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders, including depots, credit control, and sales teams, to ensure a seamless onboarding process for new customers.
  • Monitor competitor activity and market trends to stay ahead of the curve and identify emerging opportunities.
  • Consistently achieve revenue and margin targets while adhering to established KPIs.
  • Maintain accurate records and utilize Salesforce CRM to track pipeline progress, customer interactions, and sales activities.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in a new business development role within the B2B sector, ideally within the foodservice industry.
  • A strong track record of success in exceeding sales targets and driving revenue growth.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills with the ability to build rapport and influence decision-makers.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, coupled with a proactive and results-driven approach.
  • Experience using CRM systems, such as Salesforce, is highly desirable.
