Business Development Manager Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Business Development Manager to join our dynamic team at Brakes. As a key member of our contact centre team, you will be responsible for driving business growth and expansion through strategic sales and marketing initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Research and Prospect: Identify and pursue new business opportunities to maintain a healthy pipeline, leveraging our customer-first methodology.
  • Build Commercial Relationships: Develop strong relationships with customers to understand their business needs and requirements.
  • Develop Profitable Propositions: Create tailored proposals to secure new business at the correct margin, utilizing our value proposition.
  • Internal Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with internal stakeholders to assist with new customers, including Depots, Credit Control, and other departments.
  • Competitor Analysis: Stay up-to-date with competitor activity and propositions to create effective proposals that win new customers.
  • Revenue and Margin Targets: Achieve period, quarter, and annual revenue and margin targets, working closely with the sales team.
  • CRM Management: Manage all activity through Salesforce CRM to maintain pipeline, activity, and conversion visibility and tracking.
Requirements
  • Previous Experience: Proven experience in a New Business role within a fast-moving B2B environment.
  • Results-Oriented: Successful delivery against targets in a competitive marketplace.
  • Active Listening Skills: Outstanding active listening skills with the ability to engage and influence customers.
  • Pressure Management: Ability to work under pressure with a sense of urgency in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks.
  • Technical Skills: Experience of Salesforce and/or SAP would be beneficial.
