Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Soft Service Manager to join our client's site in Brighton, to oversee the events and hospitality services. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading the team to deliver high-quality services daily across catering, vending, hospitality, retail, and other required areas.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement operational procedures and standards to ensure exceptional service delivery
  • Coordinate and supervise Managers, including hiring, training, performance management, and staff development
  • Conduct regular reviews and audits to maintain operational efficiency and service quality
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with the client and its employees, ensuring their needs and expectations are met or exceeded
  • Act as the primary point of contact for all catering, hospitality, and vending service inquiries, concerns, and feedback
  • Develop and manage budgets for all parts of the contract, including revenue, expenses, labor, and profitability
  • Oversee corporate events and functions, ensuring all are executed smoothly, meeting all client requirements and company standards
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, and ensure all team members are trained with appropriate qualifications
  • Conduct regular inspections and audits to maintain compliance

Requirements:

  • IT literate – Microsoft and financial systems
  • Proven experience as a General Manager or at least 5 years in a Deputy General Manager role
  • Strong leadership experience and ability to drive and manage change
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practice
  • Experience with site audits
  • Proficient in financial management and budgeting, including proven experience in managing a profit and loss statement
