About the Role

Social Interest Group (SIG) is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Deputy Service Manager to join our team at our Women's Service in Brighton. As a key member of our management team, you will play a vital role in supporting the Service Manager in the day-to-day operational delivery of the service, ensuring that our residents receive high-quality, trauma-informed care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide leadership and guidance to the support team, promoting a culture of learning, development, and reflection.
  • Support the Service Manager in managing the service budget, ensuring effective cost control mechanisms are in place.
  • Ensure the accommodation is clean and maintained to a high standard, providing a safe and supportive environment for residents.
  • Champion and act as a point of reference for safeguarding concerns within the service, ensuring all staff receive relevant training and coaching.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to promote the service and provide outreach-based provision, ensuring effective partnerships are established and maintained.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in people management and development, with a focus on trauma-informed care.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  • Excellent financial management skills, with experience of managing budgets and ensuring effective cost control.
  • Knowledge of housing management, including voids and evictions, and the ability to apply this knowledge in a residential setting.
  • Ability to promote the service and provide outreach-based provision, with a focus on engaging with diverse groups of people.
