Soft Service Manager (FM) – Brighton

Salary: £50,000 + Bonuses + Corporate Benefits

Carbon60 is seeking a skilled Soft Service Manager to oversee the hospitality and event services at a prominent client site in Brighton. This role is pivotal in ensuring the seamless execution of services while maintaining high standards of quality.

The ideal candidate will possess flexibility to manage events that may occur during weekends and will have a strong background in staff management within a hospitality context.

Employment Type: Permanent

Working Hours: Monday - Friday, 8am - 4pm

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the team to deliver a variety of services including catering, vending, hospitality, and retail.
  • Design and implement operational protocols to ensure exceptional service delivery.
  • Oversee and mentor Managers, focusing on recruitment, training, and performance evaluations.
  • Conduct regular assessments and audits to uphold operational efficiency and service excellence.
  • Establish and nurture strong relationships with clients and their personnel, ensuring their needs are met or surpassed.
  • Serve as the main contact for all inquiries related to catering, hospitality, and vending services, addressing concerns and feedback appropriately.
  • Develop and manage budgets across all contract areas.
  • Monitor and report on financial metrics including revenue, expenses, labor, and profitability.
  • Supervise corporate events and functions, ensuring they are executed flawlessly and meet client specifications and company standards.
  • Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations, ensuring all team members are adequately trained and certified.
  • Perform regular inspections and audits to maintain compliance with established standards.

Candidate Profile:

  • Proficient in IT, including Microsoft and financial systems.
  • Demonstrated experience as a General Manager or a minimum of 5 years in a Deputy General Manager role.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to drive and manage organizational change.
  • Knowledgeable in food safety regulations and best practices.
  • Experience with conducting site audits.
  • Skilled in financial management and budgeting, with proven experience in managing P&L statements.
