Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Soft Service Operations Manager to join our client's site in Brighton, to oversee the events and hospitality services. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading the team to deliver high-quality services daily across catering, vending, hospitality, retail, and other required areas.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement operational procedures and standards to ensure exceptional service delivery
- Coordinate and supervise Managers, including hiring, training, performance management, and talent development
- Conduct regular reviews and audits to maintain operational efficiency and service quality
- Build and maintain strong relationships with the client and its employees, ensuring their needs and expectations are met or exceeded
- Act as the primary point of contact for all catering, hospitality, and vending service inquiries, concerns, and feedback
- Develop and manage budgets for all parts of the contract, including revenue, expenses, labor, and profitability
- Monitor and report on financial performance, ensuring alignment with company standards
- Oversee corporate events and functions, ensuring seamless execution and meeting all client requirements
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, and ensure all team members are trained with appropriate qualifications
- Conduct regular inspections and audits to maintain compliance
Requirements:
- IT literate – Microsoft and financial systems
- Proven experience as a General Manager or at least 5 years in a Director General Management role
- Strong leadership experience and ability to drive and manage change
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices
- Experience with site audits
- Proficient in financial management and budgeting, including proven experience in managing a profit and loss statement
