Position Overview

We are looking to recruit a motivated individual for the role of Patient Journey Coordinator within the General Surgery Administrative Team to assist the Breast department.

Key Responsibilities

1. Develop a comprehensive understanding of the organization's data recording protocols, enhancing skills necessary to correct any discrepancies in the hospital's internal databases.

2. The incumbent will be tasked with liaising with patients and their families regarding appointment schedules and admission information, both orally and in written form.

3. Support capacity and demand assessments to pinpoint limitations and opportunities for enhancement.

4. Aid in the validation and oversight of Patient Tracking List (PTL) monitoring, ensuring that booking, data entry, clinic operations, and elective admission results of patient pathways are actively managed to meet established targets.

5. Report to the Service Support Manager while delivering a user-centered administrative service to the General Surgery Team.

6. Ensure effective monitoring of patients throughout their care journey and adherence to waiting time objectives.

7. Provide support across the team as needed.

8. Adapt work hours flexibly to meet service demands.

9. Ensure full compliance with the organization's waiting list policies in alignment with national targets.

10. Implement and comply with service modifications as necessary.

Qualifications and Experience

Essential Criteria

Minimum of GCSE or equivalent Level 2 Literacy and Numeracy Proof of Maths and English qualifications Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite including Outlook, Word, Excel, and other relevant software

Desirable Criteria

Familiarity with NHS software, policies, and procedures. Business Administration Level 2 qualification Microsoft Office IT certification Experience working in an NHS Hospital
