Job Overview

Key Responsibilities

In the capacity of Salesforce DevOps Manager and Release Coordinator, this position will collaborate closely with the Salesforce Lead Architect and Technical Lead to oversee the release cycle, implement automation strategies, optimize deployment workflows, and promote DevOps best practices to facilitate the effective delivery of Salesforce solutions.
  • Direct the release management operations for Salesforce financial services applications, encompassing Vlocity components, while planning, scheduling, coordinating, and executing releases across various environments.
  • Design and implement CI/CD pipelines and comprehensive SDLC processes to enhance system development.
  • Engage with multiple project teams to ascertain release requirements and formulate release strategies utilizing Azure DevOps.
  • Supervise release pipelines and resolve any issues related to deployments, environment settings, or integration failures.
  • Collaborate with Salesforce developers and administrators to refine release management processes and ensure adherence to company policies and standards.
  • Establish and manage version control protocols for Salesforce metadata and codebase, ensuring effective branching, merging, and code review practices.
  • Configure and sustain Azure DevOps to facilitate continuous integration, continuous delivery, and automated deployment processes.
  • Create and maintain automation scripts and tools to enhance release workflows and improve efficiency.
  • Oversee Sandbox refreshes, data seeding, and data/metadata backup in production environments.
  • Document releases in code archives, prepare and test installers, draft and distribute release notes, and ensure all relevant stakeholders are informed of new releases while managing older releases to avoid confusion.
  • Engage in hands-on Salesforce solution development with proven expertise in both declarative configuration and programmatic development.
  • Conduct code reviews and approve technical designs and solutions as necessary.

  • Proven experience as a DevOps Lead and Release Coordinator, or in a comparable role.
  • Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps or other Salesforce release management tools is essential.
  • Expertise in establishing DevOps tools like Azure DevOps to create a CI/CD process and governance framework.
  • Strong knowledge of Salesforce configuration, customization, and development principles.
  • Comprehensive understanding of DevOps methodologies, including continuous integration, continuous delivery, and automated testing.
  • Solid familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git), build tools, and deployment automation frameworks.
  • Experience in deploying Vlocity components such as Omnistudio - Omniscripts, Flex Cards, Data Raptors, and Integration Procedures.
  • Familiarity with Financial Service Cloud and Vlocity (Salesforce Industries).
  • Experience in Salesforce Configuration and customization.
  • Knowledge of Scrum methodology and Agile practices.
  • Understanding of various partner products (AppExchange), particularly those relevant to the financial services sector.
  • Strong people management skills with prior experience leading small deployment or development teams.
  • Ability to apply organizational knowledge of business and systems processes in problem-solving scenarios.
  • Experience with backup tools, including proprietary solutions.
  • Familiarity with AppExchange products.
