About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Luminal Gastroenterologist to join our dynamic team at Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust. As a Consultant in Gastrointestinal Medicine, you will play a key role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of our gastroenterology services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide inpatient and outpatient gastroenterology services, including endoscopy and luminal gastroenterology procedures.
  • Contribute to the acute gastroenterology on-call service and provide weekday daytime cover at Nottingham City Hospital.
  • Participate in the inpatient care of luminal gastroenterology patients at Queen's Medical Centre.
  • Develop and implement clinical pathways and services to improve patient outcomes.
  • Supervise and teach junior medical staff, including medical students and junior doctors.
Person Specification

We are looking for a Consultant with:

  • MBBS/MBCH and MRCP or equivalent qualifications.
  • Eligibility for entry on the GMC Specialist Register or within 6 months of receipt of CCT in Gastroenterology.
  • Full GMC Registration with a License to Practice.
  • Eligibility to reside and work in the UK.
  • 5 years supervised training in an appropriate StR or equivalent training programme.
  • Comprehensive technical competence in Endoscopy.
  • Ability to offer expert clinical opinion on all Gastroenterology problems.
