Job overview

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Gastroenterology team as a part time Patient Pathway Administrator based at City Campus.

The post holder will audio type and manage confidential information. You will manage Outpatient appointments, patient results and waiting lists, for a delegated number of consultants. You will co-ordinate clinic admissions, help patients pathways and help manage patient results.

The post holder will also play a key central role within the services and is required to work in close liaison with NHS colleagues, patients and the general public.

We are looking to appoint a part-time Patient Pathway Administrator. The hours are 15 hours per week (days to be agreed).

You will be a conscientious and enthusiastic team player, with excellent organisational and communication skills. You will have a good understanding of the 18 week RTT pathway and Patient Access Policy. You will need to be able to demonstrate a clear understanding of patient confidentiality, and be able to remain calm under pressure.

**Qualifications**:
Essential criteria
- 5 GCSE's including English and Maths
- Level 2 in administration/ business studies or equivalent

Communication

Essential criteria
- Ability to communication efficently to help outcomes
- Ability to communicate when needing support
- Ability to communicate clearly and calmly during time of high workload
- Ability to communicate to a team and during meetings

**Skills**:
Essential criteria
- Evidence of note taking and audio typing
- Evidence of using spread sheets to document and store data
- Evidence of using and presenting data

**Salary**: The quoted salary will be on a pro rata basis for part time workers.
