About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Gastroenterologist to join our diverse and lively gastroenterology department at Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trusts.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with a team of 35 NHS and academic gastroenterologists and hepatologists, providing inpatient and outpatient gastroenterology services across the QMC and Nottingham City Hospital sites.
Main Responsibilities
- Provide inpatient and outpatient gastroenterology services in clinics and endoscopically according to interests
- Contribute to acute gastroenterology on-call service and weekday daytime cover at City Hospital
- Participate in inpatient care of luminal gastroenterology patients at QMC
About the Department
The Gastroenterology, Nutrition and Hepatology inpatient beds are located at the QMC campus, with emergency inpatient endoscopies and other services provided from the endoscopy suite at QMC.
The department is committed to providing high-quality patient care and is involved in various research and educational activities.
Person Specification
- MBBS/MBCH and MRCP
- Eligible for entry on GMC Specialist Register or within 6 months of receipt of CCT in Gastro at time of interview
- Full GMC Registration with a License to Practice
- Eligibility to reside and work in the UK
Desirable Qualifications and Experience
- Higher degree: MD/ PhD
- Teaching qualification Masters/ Diploma in medical education
- Completion of recognised subspecialty training in gastroenterology
