Contract Type: 3 months Fixed Term Contract

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as an integral member of the finance team, focusing on cash collection and resolution of queries to maintain up-to-date customer accounts and facilitate timely order releases.
  • Handle a substantial volume of credit and proforma clients.
  • Daily monitoring of credit limits, account balances, and overdue amounts to ensure prompt payment within agreed terms.
  • Keep the Finance Manager informed and escalate complex disputes for further guidance and resolution.
  • Provide administrative assistance in generating and processing invoices, managing sales ledger adjustments, issuing customer account statements, and handling customer cheque payments and cash receipt postings.
  • Ensure compliance with credit management policies and limits by all stakeholders.
  • Initiate and advance recovery methods, including legal actions when necessary.
  • Conduct risk assessments and perform credit risk evaluations of customers at appropriate intervals based on their risk level.
  • Recommend suitable credit limits and terms in accordance with the credit insurance policy, ensuring implementation upon authorization.
  • Adhere to documented procedures for setting up new customer accounts.
  • Engage in regular reporting and reviews with the Finance Manager to demonstrate effective management of the sales ledger, including analysis of bad debts requiring provisions.
  • Participate in month-end processes as needed, including reviewing customer credit limits due for renewal in line with company policy.
  • Provide support across the Finance Department and undertake any additional duties as directed by the Finance Manager that align with the role's scope.
